Our Paediatric first aid course is designed to meet the stringent requirements of Ofsted and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Tailored for childcare professionals and children's activity providers, this comprehensive program equips you with essential skills and knowledge needed to work in the early years setting. Upon successful completion, you'll receive a certificate valid for three years, ensuring you stay up-to-date with best practices and regulations in the field of child care. All newly qualified entrants to the early years workforce who have completed a level 2 and/or level 3 qualification on or after 30 June 2016, must also have either a full PFA or an emergency PFA certificate within three months of starting work in order to be included in the required staff:child ratios at level 2 or level 3 in an early years setting.

This course is designed specifically to meet the requirements of the EYFS framework and is CPD accredited. The “In Safe Hands Award” will apply to Nurseries, Pre-Schools and Childminders.
To gain the “In Safe Hands Award”, Nurseries and Pre-Schools have to achieve a MINIMUM of: 35% of staff Trained in Paediatric First Aid (12 hours) & 35% of staff Trained in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (6 hours).
Childminders and any Assistants MUST have the Paediatric First Aid (12 hours) certificate. Learn More
